So IF I just bought GW, Factions, NF, and GWEN... and didn't even SEE the BMP promo...

And it isn't in the store now...

That is a sad way to leave new GW players in limbo... (in fact I have a new guy in our guild who is just like this)...

I do think they will allow us to get it for the players that didn't get it FREE w/ purchase the first run...

It is upsetting that we may have to wait 1 month or longer to get it.. but let's have some faith that Anet will offer it again... some way shape or manner..

I still havent seen a good reason for anet not to sell it.

Place yourselves in the shoes of a shopkeeper, they are given a dozen truckloads of product x to give away if a customer buys product y with say a credit card in their store.

Plenty of people go in pay with a credit card, come out with products y+x all is well. Some go in and get product y as they didnt have their credit card on them, or chose not to pay for whatever reason.

After the promotion the shopkeeper still has several truckloads of product x left (in anets case the number is in fact basically infinite).

Give me one good reason why the shopkeeper would refuse to sell the left over product x.

(This example is probably full of holes as i'm slightly drunk)

Story time.

To get to the full 29 bucks needed to get the BMP, I was using character slots, as someone else had ordered me a copy of GWEN as a birthday gift. I already had two, just needed a third, so I added it to my account. Wonderful, thirty dollars spent, therefore qualifying.

........Heh, funny thing is, it would appear that one of those slots was bought before July 5th. So, because of this arbitrary time limit, I don't show up on the list of those that qualify for the pack. Good times.

So, no offense intended to those who claim "We were the ones who paid, therefore only we should get the deal", but some of us are a bit miffed at missing out on a one time piece of game content. If it has no impact on gameplay, like the hourglass staff, that's all good. But when you are talking about real game content, missions especially, that's not something to have one-time restrictions on. To the earlier example, some people don't have nightfall, but they can buy it if they wish. Some have got this pack for free, and paying a bit for it would allow others to enjoy it, with no damage done. Why is this a bad thing?

And yes, feel free to laugh, even I had a good chuckle at myself. But it still irks me quite a bit to not have access to something because I paid them the required amount too early.

Shouldnt be for buying from there utter crap online store (they dont sell enough stuff and just didnt want to admit it was a failure) it should be for people who own all 4 campaigns or something along those lines. Anet right now = Fail.

Yep, just like I didn't get a mini Asura or Destroyer because I didn't know about a PC Gamer promotion that gave you one for free if you spent money towards the purchase of their magazine. Just like I missed out on the Factions, Nightfall, and EotN pre-order weapons that people got for free if they pre-ordered those game. I also missed out on a few festival hats because you had to actually be there to get them.

You CAN get the promo pre order packs cheap... that is how I got my Factions and Nightfall bonus items

Sorry for whatever reason you were unable to buy the bonus mission pak Gloria. I am not a rich mama's boy etc. I work for a living. And I agree with the post food, shelter come first.

I can't afford a Mercedes, not even a Lexus. So I understand that. And for some it wasn't a possibility I am sorry. But we can't all have everything we may want.

Also, the promotion was on the login in screen, it would have been really really hard to miss it. It was a window of opportunity and if it was missed it was missed.

If they put the BMP in the online store. Why not put the Phrophecies Pre orde and all the other pre orders in store. Guess what we missed out on them and you guys missed out on the BMP Promotion stop QQing and get over it.

Thats a good reason why anyone who didn't meet the criteria shouldn't recieve the BMP at this moment in time.

I said give me one good reason why anet should not sell it seperately, call it a second ticket booth.

Two lots of ticket booths adds up to more money, with which you can build better rides.

Those are my favorites. The guys who think that having played the game for over 2 years entitles them to freebies.

I've been playing since beta, and I still paid the money. If I don't get it for free, then why should anyone else?

To play Devil's Advocate, why are the GOTY weapon packs available?

I understand why CEs aren't available, they were "limited edition" (and I guess you could argue the BMP is "limited" as well).

The question is, in what corner does the BMP stand: Collector's edition or GOTY edition? No one knows for sure.

I'm not worried about it its not like they can go and try to power trade those customized items. Sure they look all nice. I'd only be mad if a-net made them not come customized.

Little off topic anyhow if Guildwars 2 comes out like how its supposed to GW:EN is my last game from ncsoft.

I don't buy game keys on Ebay. It's too easy to get scammed. Besides, part of the bonus of paying for the pre-order was that you paid a portion of the game's final price. I already paid full price for Factions and NF. No no, I guess I just missed out is all. But that's cool, that's the way it is sometimes.

I don't mind them (ppl with no BMP) having it or buying it, I just wanted to add one my suggestions if they can't obtain it:

Let the current owners be able to gift people with the weapons, making it customized for friends and guildies taht couldnt get the BMP. If the missions weren't solo, maybe a invite system. Oh well

I guess I will /sign it
because I have friends who couldn't manage to buy it themselves.

To expand: the people with the BMP are failing to realise that, if the BMP was sold seperately, those who already have it get more than those buying seperately. Why?

- They bought 3 or so character slots to be able to have the BMP as a free promotion. a.k.a they got 3 character slots more than those who'd buy it seperately - for the same price.

- They got the content completely fresh, without reading tons of **SPOILERS**.

I'd be happy to pay $29 (well, it's in £ for me) to have the BMP without any loot, any exclusive weapon skins. Because i actually want to play it, and to show to all these selfish 5yr olds that people aren't complaining because of the new skins.
